How do you learn to race at a track like Martinsville?

"Well learning how to race Martinsville versus learning how to race at Martinsville are two different things because you must race the racetrack on one hand and then the other, you have to race the competition. Being fast there I don't think is difficult. Being fast and able to pass and race there is where the challenge really is. Being good at Martinsville doesn't come easy."

How important is it to win a race at Martinsville?

"It's big to win anywhere and anytime. Our sport is so challenging and so tough. To get to a track like Martinsville ... attitudes, egos, personalities clash. You name it, frustrations from the entire season seems especially built up there before the fall race. When you win there, you've done something. It's special. The grandfather clock is cool but just knowing you made it to victory lane is really special."
