Tyler Reddick and the No. 8 Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen Team Grind it Out for Top-10 Finish at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

"We had a great No. 8 Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen Chevrolet when we could run in clean air and record some good lap times. Like a lot of our competitors today, we struggled in dirty air. Any time we were battling someone side by side or from behind them, our car would just build way too tight and make it tough to gain or hold track position. We had an up-and-down day, falling back early and then playing some strategy to stay out to start Stage 3 from the fifth spot. Once the race restarted for Stage 3, we were able to hold on to that position for a while before having to make our final green flag stop of the day. Unfortunately, a yellow came out when our pit stops were cycling through, trapping us a lap down and forcing us to take the wave-around and get shuffled back in traffic again. When that final yellow flag came out and set us up for a green-white-checkered finish, my crew chief Randall Burnett made the call to come in for four fresh tires and put us 16th for the restart. I was able to capitalize on the final restart and race up to eighth place, which is a great finish for our day. We had to grind it out today, but it turned out in our favor."

Tyler Reddick and No. 8 Caterpillar Team Put Up Strong Fight at Pocono Raceway

"This weekend did not go at all how we wanted it to, but I'm proud of the No. 8 Caterpillar team for never giving up at any point. When I came across the line to take the green flag today, I lost all power steering and had to drop back to protect the car. Right as I was going to hit pit road to see what we could do to fix the handling, the caution came out for rain, which almost ended up helping us. I was able to pit and give my team the entire yellow to work on the car. We figured out we would be able to replace the alternator belt as the red flag came out. Once the yellow flag came back out, my team worked as fast as they could to make the repairs but we still ended up a handful of laps down by the time we could rejoin the field. From that point on it was just a matter of capitalizing on everything  that came our way to gain as many spots as we possibly could. Every point matters in the fight to make the Playoffs, and we weren't going to go down without a fight. We got trapped a little bit with how the race played out, but we gave it our all today to get everything we could. I wouldn't want to be racing with any other group than the one I have right now and am looking forward to getting back after it at Indy next weekend."

Tyler Reddick and the Caterpillar Chevrolet Team Showcase Never-Give-Up Attitude at Pocono Raceway

"The Caterpillar Chevrolet was really fast today at Pocono Raceway, and I think we showed that. We had good speed at the start of the race but we were involved in a wreck at the end of Stage Two that put us two laps down and changed the course of our race. From then on out, it was all about finishing and earning maximum points. I have to thank my guys for their hard work and making repairs so I could finish the last stage. We kept after it as a team and finished all the laps, trying to maximize on as many points as we could. We will regroup and be ready for round two tomorrow. Thank you to Caterpillar and the Cleveland Brothers for their support. We will definitely be ready to go tomorrow."

Tyler Reddick Wins Stage, Leads Laps in Realtree Chevrolet at Talladega Superspeedway

"We're getting closer and closer to winning one of these races. We had a really fast No. 8 Realtree Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE today. We just needed a bigger fuel cell to make it through the closing laps without having to come to pit road. We were a little bit loose today, but our Chevy was able to suck up to others really well, which made it easier for me to work with people and show them that they can trust and work with me in return. It was awesome to get my first NASCAR Cup Series career Stage win, even if we had to wait out a brief rain shower for it. I think that showed a lot of people that we had really strong speed today. From there, we just played it smart and stayed out of trouble to be there in the closing laps. We managed to grab the lead with about 16 laps to go. It was tough to maintain the lead and save fuel since we knew we were right on the edge of making it. I thought maybe we would make it before that final caution came out, but then the No. 11 ran out of gas or had a bobble or something. Once he ran out, my main help was gone and the No. 12 was able to slide by as we slid back. But that is how it goes at plate-racing. Timing is everything. It was just chaos on that final restart, but we gave it everything we had. All in all, it was a great day. We were in the lead with a shot at the end, and that's exactly where you want to be. I want to thank Realtree for letting me run their Timber camo pattern on my car, and I hope they enjoyed the show."

Tyler Reddick Impresses with First Career Top-Five Finish in Chevy Cares Chevrolet at Homestead-Miami Speedway

"I'm really proud of my Chevy Cares Chevrolet team and the effort we showed today. We had really good speed and were able to run up front pretty much all night long. The men and women of RCR and ECR did a great job preparing us with a fast racecar to bring down to my favorite track on the circuit. We were able to use that speed to our advantage and race into the top 10 within the first 30 laps, and we were able maintain that track position. We fined tuned our car from then on out for the rest of the race and tried to make it better to run the fence. It was tough, though, because sometimes the top seam worked better instead of the fence, so figuring out which lane was the best to use at what time was tricky. We got a little too tight by the end of the night to really make the fence work like I wanted, but all in all, it was a solid effort. I've won the past two times I've come here, granted in the Xfinity Series, but it was so fun to be ripping the fence with three of the best tonight in the NASCAR Cup Series. It was a hard-fought battle and one we can build momentum off of."

Tyler Reddick Has Strong Showing in No. 8 Caterpillar Fleet Monitoring Chevrolet During Return to Martinsville Speedway

"Man, I missed this place! I hadn't raced at Martinsville Speedway in a little over three years, so it was a big learning experience for me tonight with our No. 8 Caterpillar Fleet Monitoring Chevrolet. We fought a tight-handling condition pretty much the entire night and needed to be looser. We were able to manage it fairly well for most of the night, but our adjustments didn't seem to do what we wanted them to during the final 100 laps. The track changed a lot more than we thought it would tonight, but we managed it the best we could. We were able to race in the top 10 for a portion of the night, so that's a positive to build on. Martinsville is a really tricky track, so for us to be able to do that without any practice in a Cup car for the first time for me is pretty good. We learned a lot tonight that we can use to our advantage when we come back in the fall, which is a race that could have really big implications for the driver standings."

Tyler Reddick Fights Hard for 16th-Place Finish in No. 8 Roland Chevrolet at Atlanta Motor Speedway

"We had to grind it out today for every position we could get with our No. 8 Roland Chevrolet. We had speed during the first stage and were able to race up into the top 10, but as the stage came to an end, it felt like a tire was going down, so I slowed down to take care of the car and ended up getting shuffled back through the field. From there, it was just a challenging day. I couldn't really run anywhere except for the bottom, and even that was tough. The car would swing from being too loose to being too tight and struggle over the bumps in Turns 3 and 4. It seemed like no matter what adjustment we made throughout the day, it just didn't make a huge difference in the handling of our car. I know everyone on my team will study this race to try to learn what went wrong and improve for next time. We never gave up though and hung on to grab as many spots as we could, which is important as we try to fight our way into the Playoffs. I know my crew chief, Randall Burnett, has a good feel for Martinsville Speedway, so I'm looking forward to racing there on Wednesday for the first time in a long time."

Tyler Reddick and the Alsco Uniforms Team Have Day at Bristol Motor Speedway Cut Short Due to On-Track Incident

"Well, unfortunately we had an early end to my NASCAR Cup Series debut at Bristol Motor Speedway. We had a handful with the balance of our Alsco Uniforms Chevrolet today and weren't quite where we needed to be to start the race. We worked really hard though and got it to where I thought it needed to be. We were even able to start clicking off some top-five lap times and just needed some track position to get up there and start contending. We had started to weed away at that, and I'm confident we would have gotten up there. I could run the top lane pretty well, which was helping a lot. It's unfortunate, but it's a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time at Bristol. I saw the No. 47 get spun, and I saw him go down, but then I couldn't see him anymore. I was worried if I checked up too much I'd get caught up in it, but it didn't matter and I got caught up in it anyway. Just a tough situation and a tough way to end our day."

Tyler Reddick Forges to 14th-Place Finish with Okuma Chevrolet at Charlotte Motor Speedway

"Man, what an up and down night for our No. 8 Okuma Chevrolet team. We worked hard and we were able to grab a top-15 finish. The biggest challenge was managing the balance tonight. For the first two stages of the race, we were too tight on entry and exit of the turns and way too loose in the middle. It made it really hard to trust the car as we went into the corners of the track. The adjustment my Richard Childress Racing team made during the final stop of the race was the best one of the night and allowed me to race up through the field and into the top 15. We just lacked some long run speed tonight to stay up there and battle within the top 10. That's something we'll go back and look at to improve on for future intermediate tracks. It's been fun racing in our backyard of Charlotte over the past week, but I'm looking forward to moving on to Bristol Motor Speedway on Sunday."

Tyler Reddick Earns Top-10 Finish in First Coca-Cola 600 with Alsco Uniforms Chevrolet Team

"Well, the longest night of racing is in the books. I'm proud of the effort our No. 8 Alsco Uniforms Chevrolet team gave tonight. We fought hard all night to make our car better, and we took a gamble at the end, which almost paid off for us. The track just didn't do quite what I hoped it would do tonight, but we still found a way to get a top 10 out of the race. We fired off really strong tonight and had a shot at the pole in qualifying. After the brief rain storm, it was tough to get the balance nailed down to where we needed it to be. I was too loose in Turns 1 and 2 but then too tight in Turns 3 and 4. We tried a lot of different adjustments and strategy calls to try to adjust the handling, and hit on something during that second to last caution of the night. Randall Burnett and my team were able to get our car loosened up just enough for me to run up through the field from 15th to 10th. From there, we decided to stay out and go for it on that green-white-checkered, and almost got a top-five finish out of it. I learned a lot tonight that I think we can take into account when we return to Charlotte Motor Speedway on Wednesday to help with our long run handling and speed. This is definitely a finish we can build on. 400 laps and 600 miles are done, and we'll be ready to come back on Wednesday night. It was an honor to have SGT. Norman L. Tollett's name above my windshield tonight, and I hope we made his friends and family proud."

Tyler Reddick and the No. 8 Caterpillar Chevrolet Team Battle Through Tough-Handling Conditions for 13th-Place Finish at Darlington Raceway

"Man, we had to fight hard for that finish, and I'm proud of my No. 8 Caterpillar team for sticking together tonight. We weren't exactly where we needed to be to fire off  and missed the handling a little bit for the first half of the race. I kept bouncing from being too tight to too loose, but mostly too tight. It honestly felt different every lap we ran, which made it tough to decide which way to keep adjusting. I made a slight rookie mistake at one point and got some damage after a brush with the wall, but my team helped get back after it. I have to hand it all my guys. They kept after it and worked really hard to make the changes we needed to pick our way back through the field. We were in a good spot for that final restart in the 11th position, but restarting on the bottom is tough here and we slipped back a couple spots to 13th. That's just a product of the restarts here. The top lane is so good that it's almost impossible to stop that momentum. We'll take it though and move on to the Coca-Cola 600. We're going twice the distance there, more than I've ever gone in a race, so minimizing mistakes will be key. I'm looking forward to the challenge."

Tyler Reddick Earns Career-Best NASCAR Cup Series Finish in the No. 8 Caterpillar Chevrolet at Darlington Raceway

"We're officially back to racing, and it feels great. Our first day back in the No. 8 Caterpillar Chevrolet was a little rough around the edges at times, but starting out in the 29th spot and racing our way into the top five in the first 125 laps was just an outstanding kick off to our race. It felt like we were bouncing right back into our good momentum that we had at Phoenix Raceway before this break. It was a hot, slick track for sure today, which I love. We also saw the track change quite a bit. Our No. 8 Caterpillar Chevrolet was really good and took off so well at the start of the race, that it was tough to adjust on it throughout the day. We really needed to though as the track changed, so that's something I think we can look to improve on for Wednesday's race. It was a wild day for us though. We had a piece of debris come off the wall and stick to our splitter, which slowed one of our pit stops as we tried to get it all off. That caused a slight pit road miscue with a tire and sent us to the tail of the line, forcing us to fight back from 29th one more time. We never gave up, and all in all, it was a great day. A seventh place finish is a great way to come back, and we'll look to build momentum from here. The good news is, we get to come back Wednesday night and try to finish seven spots better."

Tyler Reddick and the No. 8 I Am Second Chevrolet Team Show Top-Five Speed Before Tire Issue Ends Day Early at Phoenix Raceway

"It's still a little too early to tell, but it felt like a tire cut on me and pushed me up into the wall, which ended our day. It's a bummer. Our team had a fast No. 8 I Am Second Chevrolet ZL1 1LE and were having a great race running inside the top-five for a majority of it. The traction compound did what we all hoped and opened up another groove on the track, which worked really well with our Chevrolet's handling. I would fire off loose and build tight as the runs went on, but my crew chief, Randall Burnett, and the team did a good job adjusting for that. Unfortunately, we lost some track position in the third stage when I tried to give some room while running three-wide on the restart, but we were able to start fighting back once we took four tires again. I don't know if we picked up something on the race track since debris can get stuck on the traction compound really easily, or what happened when the tire went down after that restart. It's really hard to say if that's exactly what happened, but regardless, we had a fast I Am Second Chevrolet. I wish we could have finished out the race, but at least we got some good stage points out of today."

Tyler Reddick and the No. 8 I Am Second Chevrolet Team Earn First Top-15 Finish of 2020 with 11th-Place Showing at Auto Club Speedway

"I'm really proud of this No. 8 I Am Second team's effort this weekend and glad that the results show it with our 11th-place finish today. We had a plan coming into the race on how we wanted to have our Chevrolet set up, and it worked out in our favor. The No. 8 I Am Second Chevrolet was snug all day, especially in Turns 1 and 2, but we continually improved on the handling throughout the race. It was a lot of fun being able to race in the top five for a portion of day, and I learned a lot while up there. I wish we could have finished one spot better to claim our first top 10 of the year, but my right rear tire completely came apart on the final lap, so I had to back off to make it back to the finish line. As a team, we've been continually improving each week so far this season, and I'm looking forward to continuing the momentum next week at Phoenix Raceway."

Tyler Reddick and the No. 8 TAME the BEAST Team Kick Off 1.5-Mile Speedway Program with Strong Showing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

"Overall, we had a solid day with our No. 8 TAME the BEAST Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE. I was loose for the majority of the day when I tried to run the bottom, but the adjustments my team made through the race helped a lot. I was able to get the top to work fairly well, especially on the long runs. I just needed a little more to fire off with, but we'll work on that. It was great to be able to run inside the top 10 today. That's momentum we can build on. When that final yellow came out, we decided to gamble in Las Vegas and stay out to go for the win. Unfortunately, we lined up fifth, which meant we were on the bottom for the restart. The bottom hadn't restarted well all day, so that wasn't in our favor and we fell backwards but ultimately had a shot at it. We'll get back after it at Auto Club Speedway next weekend."

Tyler Reddick and the Caterpillar Team Show Speed in Daytona 500 Despite Late-Race Incident

"I'm still looking at replays to figure out what happened during that last wreck, but I know my No. 8 Caterpillar Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE snapped a little loose right before it. I collected it back up and thought I could save it, but then the rear tires came up and someone hit me. Looking back, there's always things you would change. I wish I would have dove to the bottom but I had to make a decision in the moment and went with my gut. This just comes with this style of racing. I made it a little further in this Daytona 500 than in my first one, so that's a plus. My team did a great job getting our Caterpillar Chevrolet dialed in throughout Speedweeks. We survived a couple close calls during the race, got caught up in one big wreck and fixed it really well to where I felt like we were in good shape to contend for the win. Unfortunately, the finish just didn't go our way tonight. I could have rode a little bit more, but this Caterpillar team is here to win, and that's what we tried to do tonight."
